Google Chrome passes Internet Explorer as most used web browser
It’s been a long time coming but Google Chrome, which is considered the most safe, secure, and web-standards compliant browser on the market today, has overtaken Microsoft’s Internet Explorer in total usage to become the most used web browser. Chrome debuted in 2008 and has been on a fast development track ever since.
Windows 8 launches later this year and will debut Internet Explorer 10 at the same time. Will that be all Microsoft needs to retake the browser lead? We’ll see.
