Google Chrome passes Internet Explorer as most used web browser

Chrome logoIt’s been a long time coming but Google Chrome, which is considered the most safe, secure, and web-standards compliant browser on the market today, has overtaken Microsoft’s Internet Explorer in total usage to become the most used web browser. See the image from StatCounter at the bottom of this post for more details.

Chrome debuted in 2008 and has been on a fast development track ever since.

Windows 8 launches later this year and will debut Internet Explorer 10 at the same time. Will that be all Microsoft needs to retake the browser lead? We’ll see.

For3 Technologies certainly recommends using Chrome due to its high safety and security standards. You can click here to download Chrome, or get in touch with us to help with this or other security needs you may have. We’re here to help!
